Three days
before we were going to move it decided to snow a heavy twelve
inches of wet snow. Any other time in my life I would have been
delighted for a such a snow. Knowing I had to get two driveways
clear enough for moving in three days made this a lot less
than
pleasant.
That's a subaru wagon buried

stuff..
The beginning of a long
day.
Luckily (or not) I made a deal with the
neighbor. Her husband was in China on business and she was
struggeling with their snowblower, so I offered to clear
her driveway if she'd let me use it on our driveway. The
deal
worked.
Until the tread came off the one
side.
With all our
tools packed up for the move, we had to ask another neighbor to
borrow theirs so we could get it running
again.
Back in
business.
Back in
September I ordered this cool snowbaord jacket and pants for the
season. Unfortunately the only it got this year was in the
driveway.
The real trouble started when I finished in
Paoli and went to Downingtown to plow the driveway there. The chains
the previous owner left me were too small for the tractor. I
tried to make them fit the best I could with bungie cords, but after
two hours of half-ass plowing in the dark I gave up and went
home. I went out the next morning (Monday morning) and called
someone to come plow. After two hours I decided to head
to work. At work all I could think about was getting the
driveway clear for the move, so I took the rest of the day
off to go home and plow/shovel whatever. On the way over to the
house I stopped some guy plowing a parking lot and asked if he'd do
my driveway. Forty-five minutes later he was there and getting
the job done.
