The weekend of April 22- 25 Jen and I
flew to San Diego to visit her Dad and Kate. They've lived there
for two or three years now and this was our first visit. Here's Jen
and her Dad checking out his flower garden Saturday morning. In the
distance through the "Marine Layer" (that's clouds for the rest of
us) is the Pacific Ocean. Once the sun gets up over the hills and
burns off the clouds, you can see the water in
the distance.
We drove around to
various places Saturday checking out the sights. On the way from
looking at the house they are buying I saw this plant and
had to take a picture. The picture doesn't do it justice. This plant
was nearly the size of the PT Cruiser we were in -
"Feed
me Seymour!"
Here some pretty palm
trees in an outlet mall we went to
for lunch.
Behind Jen you can barely see
the Carlsbad flower gardens. It's a huge area of flower fields below
a resort. Apparently this year wasn't as pretty or as full as
years past.
Here's Jen and her Dad
on the walk along the beach. Jen and I thought it was freezing
out there. The wind constantly blew and it never got about
60-some degrees, but there were people in
the
water.
We went back to the house for a little
rest before heading out too see
more sights
.
