Looking over the counter into the
kitchen. The hallway just left of the refrigerator takes you
back to the foyer. Above the kitchen is the loft.
Walking across the great room
and looking back toward the kitchen. At the left you can just see
one of the windows around the front door in the foyer. Above the
kitchen you can see a little more of the loft. The lighted bricks
over the stove were apparently made by slaves, while the beam
spanning the front of the loft came from a home of Johnny
Cash.
Another shot
of the bricks, chestnut cabinets and yellow pine counter
tops.
Looking back through the kitchen to the foyer
and dining
room.
The other side of the
kitchen.
Yet another
angle of the kitchen with the stairs leading up to the loft and
upstairs
bedrooms.
From the other side of the
great room. You can now see the little hallway we came out of when
we exited the bathroom, which would be to the left. The spare
downstairs bedroom would be to the right in the little
hallway.
A shot of the
fireplace and mantle in the great room. The mantle too has a story.
Apparently it has secret writing on the back of it. The builder
and original owner of the house wanted the writing to face the room,
but he wasn't around the day it was installed and his wife decided
this side
was more appealing. The stone for the fireplace came from a home
originally in Carthage, TN.
Here's a shot of the
entire fireplace/chimney from the loft. The center beam that the fan
is hanging from came out of a warehouse originally in
Goodletsville,
TN.
Now headed upstairs to the loft and upstairs
bedrooms.
