February 4th
we started moving stuff to the new house. Since helping Bill and
Aaron move last fall, they've been offering to help me with our
move. We're having movers move our furniture and boxes, but there
was plenty of other stuff to have Bill and Aaron help with. That
morning I rented a U-Haul truck and wet out to moving firewood and
misc. garage and yard stuff. We planned two trips. The first would
be the fire wood and anything that could go on top of that, then
the second was a motorcycle and yard stuff. On the first trip over I was
going to drive the Ninja while they followed in the truck, but the
battery was dead in the Ninja. So
they
pushed.

And
pushed.

And pushed. The bike was
really cold and I couldn't shift it into second to make the running
start work easier. After a few passes up and down the street in
front of our house, the bike started. It ran good till
about five miles before the house. While cruising down the
highway it decided to quit. It wasn't empty, it just quit. We
left it on the side of the road and drove on to empty the truck.
After emptying, we drove
back and got the bike, took it to the house and unloaded it.

The Honda has been out of commision for nearly
four years, so it went in the truck.

On Feb. 15,06
we had the best move you could
imagine. Jen found the company via www.Movers.com. It was a four man crew run
by a guy named with a british accent named Lorenzo. They
were excellent, very polite and courteous. We can't say enough about
them.
