And one final shot of the bamboo. I think this
is also the eat-in
kitchen.
.
Hey look we ran into
another problem. It turns out the wax ring under the toilet in the
main bathroom was bad. Unfortunately it's been bad for a really
long time. The bucket is covering the hole where the toilet
should be sitting, but Jen wouldn't let me take a picture of
just how bad it had gotten. Let's just say, I have to not only
replace the wax ring, but the PVC connection, all the bolts, maybe
some subfloor and definitely some linoleum. Fun Fun! The
worst part is we discovered this the Sunday before I left for
Germany. There was no time to fix it then, so it will sit like
this till after
we move in and can finally fix
it.
Jen started working on bathroom vanity
and light solutions. Of course nothing fits exactly like we'd like
and will
need lots of adjustment.
In a premptive strike we
decided to replace the water heater before it had some catastrophic
failure on us. Though nothing physically was wrong with it,
it had reached the end of its life expectancy. Luckily my
Dad was in town to
help.
Out with the old and in with the
new.
And that concludes our house remodeling marathon
as we have finally moved in. Any projects or progress of any
significance from here on out will be photographed and documented as
their own photo commentaries.
