Another
project. One of the roofers I had out for an estimate mentioned
my chimney crown was cracked, so I had a guy out to fix it. He
mentioned the flu on the right was open and needed a cap. After
explaining to him it wasn't used, he sealed it for us with a piece
of flagstone.
I took a picture of it with my camera, but have to
get
a better "after fix" picture for the
website.

While I was on the roof, I
took a time exposure of the pool. If you look close, you can see the
pump
removing water from the
cover.

So this is my attic
workshop. From here, I replaced the recessed light and exhaust fan
in the master bath, then added an exhaust fan in
the main bathroom. Now I need to add ductwork and reinsulate the
space.
|
|
Here I am looking down
through the hole the fan in the master bath was going
into.
|
|
The fan in the main bathroom went in
real nice. It's actually even with the existing lights and
centered
between the walls.
WooHoo!
|
|
The new fan we put in the
master bathroom was smaller than the fan that was there, so Jen had
to work some of her drywall magic on the hole to make it smaller
and flush with the rest of the ceiling.
|
|
Jen had to stand under and hold the drywall piece
I was cutting out of the kitchen ceiling. In doing so she turned her hair and almost
everything else white with drywall dust.
|
|
We decided to redo our stairs,
so off to Home Depot we went to get stair materials. Not sure why
we didn't take the truck, but the
Subaru worked out well enough. We got back and the storm (high
winds and some snow) had knocked out our power, so we went home (back to Paoli) for the
evening.
|
|
Jen started the
process of staining and polyurathaning the stair treads and risers.
We couldn't believe she actually found enough paint cans
around the house to hold all the planks. How the hell do you
get rid of 56 cans of
paint?

|
A new roof!
