After some rediculous 15 hour drive and an overnight stay, this was my first view of Mt. Katahdin.

Hanging out by a pond waiting for moose.

Another perspective of the pond.

I completely forget where along the hike this was.

It was a 4 day trip. On the last day we summited Mt. Katahdin. We had to get up around 4:30 am to be at the parking lot
by 5am or so before it filled up. We started the ascent around 6am. The clouds hadn't burned off yet.

The clouds were so cool the way they would thicken and thin with the breeze. One minute you'd have a view of something.
The next minute it was gone.

A picture for mom.

The little pond down in the center is chimney pond. I think it's 1,500' to 2,000' below the summit.

More ponds.

I was trying to use my foot in the picture for perspective. Either my foot is too small or too far away from the camera.
because this drop was huge.

This part of the trail is called the Knife's edge. It runs along this skinny little ridge to join another peak that makes Mt.
Katahdin.

Here's Jeff having lunch on the knife's edge as the clouds swirl around him.
