Not far
from the house was another hike, but this one had a waterfall.
It was kind of rainy and the trail
a bit treacherous, but we hiked up (and helped an older
couple do the same) to see it.

|
The hike
up and down was kind of short, so we decided to make it all
more interesting and actually hike up the stream to the base
of the falls.
|
|
|
It was up
this cool little ravine.
How could we not check it
out?
|
|
|
Closer
now.
CJ needed a lot of assistance over the slippery rocks and
log-overs, but he was enjoying it just the
same.

|
|
Ah! The
base of the falls.
|
|
|
This was
looking downstream.
I found a taller trickier rock to
climb too. Gretchen made it there with me, but generally
everyone preferred the easier rocks
downstream.

|
Dogs and
owner happy to be hanging together in the middle of the
stream.
It's amazing the places dogs will go
when coerced with treats.
Wonder if you can get a kid through
Harvard that way?
