Finally 3pm arrived and we were off to
the
house.

The ridge in the
distance is Mt. Mansfield. You can almost make out the
face.
The property was
25 acres, which stretched a little further into the woods you
see at the end of the field.

This
was the first of two wood stoves we'd use to heat the
place.
That's actually a huge
fireplace there in the corner where the wood is
stacked. The builder and original owner of the home
was a stone mason (wasn't it obvious). Unfortunately he was
better at stone then he was chimneys so the
fireplace was nonfunctional. Still cool enough to marvel
over
