So Rick has this condo at Seven Springs. Seven Springs has a
cross country course, pump track and down
hill bike
park.
We had to
go.
We borrowed some downhill bikes, loaded
up the XC bikes and a BMX bike for good
measure.
The plan of course was to do it all in
the course of a day and a half.
I think there's more bike in this
picture then Jeep
.

The
Specialized Demo Nine that Ben borrowed. This thing was more
YZ 125 without a
motor then it was
bicycle.

The long
turnpike drive
out Friday
night.

Luckily we had plenty to entertain
us. I'm laughing so hard I couldn't open my eyes for
the
picture.

The condo. An awfully nice
place for a downhill
compound.
|
|
|
Unloading and preparing the
bikes.
|
|
|
Ticketed and ready to
ride.
Not sure if it was
excitement or laziness, but we decided to skip the morning XC
ride, eat a long breakfast and hit the
park when it opened at
11.

Four runs in I had a
mechanical.
The first two runs
were awful. The bike just wasn't set
up for me to comfortably bomb downhill and over
jumps
. We went back
to the condo where I made some adjustments. The third
run was much better. I was comfortable and actually having
fun. The fourth run, at the bottom landing on one of
the giant table tops, the deraileur hanger
snapped.
The bike was
done.

So I
rented this. Mmmmm
squishy.

Riding the lift back
