Cut (or cope) the board and see how close you are.

Then file like mad till it fits.

Ah Hell. Close enough. Actually the wall on the right was the high wall (the base board was at its highest point). I expected a little gap near the floor where these two came together. The shoe round covers that up anyway.

Working into the wee hours of the night.

Here's another monkey-wrench for the mix. My nail gun started driving two nails per shot (I think it's worn). Sometimes it worked better then others. This is one of the really bad shots. I learned the first time this happened, that the nails aren't coming out. Ok. stay in there then. First thing I do is clip off the excess with a pair of dykes. That leaves little nubs just above the surface of the trim.

Then I take a nail set and hammer and drive the nubs into the wood. Makes a mess, but I can fix that.

A little wood filler, some sanding and no one will ever know. This one hasn't been sanded yet.

The corner shots are always so nice.

The original goal for the week was to just get the hallway done. I guess that makes the livingroom a bonus.

The half wall is our pride and joy. From nothing we worked together to make it what it is
