Clean up yard and garage

My dumpster showed up today. My neighbor got one last weekend, so I figured I better step-up and get one myself. Out here in cousin-lovn' land we don't worry about things like whose got the greenest lawn or shiniest Rover. It's all about capacity. Who's got the biggest dumpster, garage, hemi, hog, etc - that's what matters.

Actually... I have to move out of my garage in Spring City by the end of the month. The one bay of the detached garage here at the house is nearly full with stuff we ripped out of the house during our remodeling marathon. A dumpster was the easiest way to get rid of it all at once.

The guy was real smooth with backing down the driveway and unloading it.
.

The all important truck, dumpster garage shot.

Here's our house stuffed into the one garage bay. Actually it's only the first floor of the previous owners
house. There was more, but my dad took most of the pine flooring for some projects of his own.

There's not a whole lot on this side, but what does have to go is in the back corner - behind all my stuff .

There's also a pile of stuff (left mostly by the previous owner) that needs to go.

The previous owner also left us a lot of paint. A whole lot of paint. We read the best way to get rid of latex
paint is to paint it on something you're throwing away. Since we ripped out all the upstairs carpet, we
figured this was an excellant material to soak up the paint. You can see at least sixteen gallons of paint in
this picture. Not all of them were full, but many of them were close enough.

It took a good two or three hours to get all the carpet rolled out and paint taken care of. It was freezing too. T
The thermometer said it was forty degrees, though the wind made it feel like twenty.

I was channeling Pollack most of the morning.

It was well over twenty cans of paint when I was done.

I spent the rest of the day filling the dumpster. I got over half of it filled. I cleaned up most of the yard and
all the stuff in the one garage bay. I just need to finish the garage, throw out misc. crap around the
house/yard, stack the firewood and I'm done with this project.  I even got in a 3.5 hour bike ride this
morning. Not a bad weekend.

Full and ready to go. Final tally on the dumpster was 3.12 tons. That's 6,240lbs!
